Thumbs up

hi, since you are online i need some expert advise from the true expert.
last nite while i was crusing, the car all the sudden lost power and it just died. i had recently done valve adjustment, cap and rotor and new spark plugs.

i pulled the car to the side and i couldnt start the engine, the fuel pressure at idle is set at 50psi, no fluid leaking, no gas smell. all the headlights and accessories works fine. Wiring of js safeguard looks solid.

what could possibily causing the problem? i read a few threads it might caused by ignition coil (ICM)...before this incident the car died while driving but it will start immediately.

just want to know what you think....
and some advise might be helpful.

check safeguard wiring. happens if the plug is knocked utta the J&S. make sure the underhood ecu fuse is ok too. sounds like a 'lectrical problem. from the list of mods it seems the j&s is the culprit. the plug comes out as do the wires on the plug. i bet that's where the problem lies.

Check for spark and fuel...and also make sure your timing belt did not snap...good luck!

At first I thought it was JS safeguard. I checked all the wiring and fuses they are all looking good, and i took advices from u guys loooking at fuel system and ignition.

me and my neighbour pull the spark plugs out and it was fuel all over it. good, we got fuel.

and we opened up the the distributor cap and found out the rotor breaks into half and the screw falls off!

the parts were aftermarket and i put the old caps and rotor back in it is running great!!!

Moral of the day: stick with OEM parts.

Thanks for all the help!!!

I was going to suggest checking your rotor button... I guess I am too late.

Sorry.

Moral of the story...

If you had just done something to your car recently and all of a sudden your car dies, falls apart, etc etc.. 99.9999% of the time, it has to do with that thing you just did.
